Kreatives 8 bit-Liebhaber Musik Album:

My name is AJ but I go by Atrus Falling when I make music. I make my music in Ableton Live usually, sometimes in Logic Pro when i need to use auto-tune lol. It actually took me a very long time to make a Picture of a Sky, I wrote it over the course of about five years. I remember making the last track, Singularity, on my couch and I actually cried when I finished it. I knew my album was finally done. I didn’t even realize how much it meant to me until that day. Most of my songs are about being pulled back and forth between being religious and atheist for most of my life. Struggling with the logic of it all and whether or not that mattered. I make my music to feel sort of dated and “8-bit”, if you will, just because it reminds me of being a kid, when all that stuff didn’t really matter and you just played video games with your friends. All the fun stories and epic adventures you had as a kid sort of get lost somehow when you get older, I just like returning to that world to talk about the struggles in my life, and maybe people can relate and maybe in more than one way. Feel like they used to feel. My favorite game is hard to say. I’m really into a lot of the arty games like Shadow of the Colossus and Limbo and Braid and all that. But some of the best fun I’ve ever had in my life was playing Halo with all my friends. My favorite platformer of all time is the Ratchet & Clank series, but I can’t deny Jak & Daxter being an almost perfect game. The Myst series will always have a specific place in my heart because of the memories of sitting on my dads lap while we explored the islands and solved the puzzles when I was a kid. Actually, my only tattoo is of the Moiety Dagger from Riven. One of my favorite soundtracks is actually from Portal 2, it manages to feel organic and electronic at the same time. I listen to it a lot when I play other games. It really has an atmosphere to it. My music inspirations usually don’t come from video games actually. I kind of just make what I like and don’t get too caught up on who I sound like. I just like to make music that I feel like doesn’t already exist. My influences are just everything I’ve ever heard growing up as a kid, and everything that I like. I hope it comes through the speakers that way. That you feel like you’re in a world with the characters I’ve created through my music.
